basically if my car has been off for more than 3 or so hours, enough so that the engine is completely cold, it takes a few starts to get it going. Will crank, fire, half run for 1-2 seconds then die, then i have to crank it again and do this process a few more times, each time it will stay on for a little longer. Eventually it will turn on and stay on if i give it a hair of gas from the pedal, after about 4 of 5 tries. until it is been running for a good minute or two, any sort of throttle over like 10-15% will make the motor cut out until i let off the gas. Once its warm it runs and idle's like a champ. Btw this engine is a fresh rebuild and has a large street port with les than 500 miles on it. Any ideas? was thinking maybe a bad egr valve? not sure. thanks

 

flooded out? since it has very few miles for the seals to seat and build good compression. my 2 cents
