Check the heat shield where the mufflers flange to the y pipe. That’s where mine rattles.

im thinking some sort of backpressure loss

I have a similar problem. When at idle, I can hear my exhaust pop every 3 seconds or so very softly, and the dealership says that I definitely have exhaust leaks.

is it possible to remove all the heatshields from the y-pipe without destroying the y-pipe?
