ok so i took off my plastic under the car skid plate thing. and there is a wierd funky dealy that is leaking. i fixed the leak, but what is it and what does it do? it is right below and to the pass side of the main pully. it has 4 hoses running from it to the top of the engine. i would take a pic but no digi cam. im thinking it is the oil injectors?

 

Sounds like the MOP. It could easily be described as a "wierd funky dealy" that has 4 hoses.

It has the job of putting oil by the apex seals in your engine to keep them lubricated.

 

Metering oil pump. Odds are that the small o-ring that seals it is leaking. Simple fix, but difficult to get to.
