Full RB and airpump

I just got my full TII RB exhaust the other day and in reading the instructions i found airpump removal. Is this nessecary?? can i disconnect it and leave it there?? I am assuming that im gonna need it to pass emissions, so i know i will need to reconnect it for emsissions. I just want to know what i need to do to install the exhaust, and also to pass emissions.
Thanks

I have the same exaust system in my TII and i love it!..There is no way you will pass smog with that because it only has one cat!...I did speak with JIM at MAriahMotorsport and he said something like leave the RB catback section and put the only parts from catback all the way to the turbo and you will pass smog. I dont know if you know what im talking about. YOu might want to contact them or RacingBeat and they will tell you what you need to do.

The airpump can stay but you have to tie the split air pipe somewhere or you can disconnect it!..this is the pipe that runs from airpump all the way to your factory exaust system. I would disconnect it though.
Hope this helps a bit..
