Fuel tank leak common?

AHHHRRRR.. This damn FC of mine! Is it common for the gas tank on the FC to leak above say half a tank? I usually don't fill it, and I usually just throw 20 bucks in the tank. Well today I spent 31 on a full tank only to notice a wet spot under the damn tank a couple hours later... WTF...

mine did the same thing, It was the fuel pump gasket. I took off the pump and there was no gasket at all theres supposed to be a pretty thick rubber gasket. pull up the rear carpet and sound proofing thing and the access panel to the fuel pump, rock the car back and forth to and see if gas comes out the edges. also theres another access panel to some rubber boots that have clamps maybe one of those is loose or something.

Well I checked the gasket for the sending unit and the filler neck and the leak is in the tank. It is seeping out of the sides of the tank. I found a tank for 75 bucks and I might go that route...

Common leak, mine leaks from the plastic hose coming from the tank, it has a crack in it. Haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. But glad to see you've found your source of leak =)

Well I siphoned about 4 gallons out of the tank and the leak stopped. So I assume I can only hold about 11-12 gallons without a problem. Thanks to all for any and all advice...
