Fuel system setup questions... (surge tank, FPR, etc)

Hello,
Im peicing together all the turbo parts for my 1985 RX-7 FB S3, that I am going to swap a S5 TII engine into.

I bought a fuel setup off another member on this site and im just making sure I have the right idea of how to hook this setup up properly. He told me he used the setup on his TII FC, the only difference is he kept the in tank pump to feed the surge tank.

The surge tank has 4 fittings, 2 an fittings on the top (both -6an) and 2 bungs in the bottom, -8an and -10an. The -8an is the return from the FPR, and the -10an is the feed. Is what I just listed all right???

Is what I have pictured here ok? Tips and advice are greatly appreciated!

(note the reason I am posting it in this section is because you guys have experience with running surge tanks and setups for such applications.)

Thanks!

I would rather have 3 fitting on the top, but I guess the return on the bottom should be okay...

Hey, thanks for the link! I guess my biggest question is can the setup be ran without the in tank fuel pump the way I have pictured? Would the surge tank be able to fill up from gravity/the low pressure area created infront of the fuel pump?

Thanks

Also would it be better to use a FPR (like i pictured), or just to cycle the unused gas back after the injectors/fuel rails without a FPR like you have pictured?

Ted's diagram is very simplified just to concentrate on the surge tank. You need an FPR.

No, that's not a good idea.
You can use the stock fuel pump that's in there right now, and that should be okay...depends on how much power you're looking to make?

That Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump is a giant!
I would run at least a Walbro 255lph high-pressure or equivalent.

Actually, the pic is for stock FC rails.
Although the vacuum fitting is not shown, the stock FPR is the "****" thingy on the end of the upper / secondary fuel rail.

You need to use an FPR regardless of your set-up.
