fuel system questions
since im almost done doing my suspension and getting things in working order ive started of thinking of other things i could do to my car. next on my list is probably the fuel system and i have a few questions. what im looking to do is do all the supporting mods i can then swap in a TII motor. the first question is, if i upgrade to a walbro fuel pump without a S-AFC or tuning will it make me run really rich, or will it act just like a stock pump until i start tuning it? next i was wondering if after all these years do the metal fuel lines under the car get dirty inside, if they do whats the best way of cleaning them or whats the length so i can get new lines to make new ones? then the last question i have is where is the cheapest place to get a new fuel filter, at autozone it was like $49, or is there an universal cheap one i can get? sorry for all the questions at once, but its better than starting a new thread for each one!

Yes, you'll probably run hellaciously rich with the walbro at this point...
Fuel lines should be clean internally, unless the car has set for extended periods, in which case some varnish might have made a home...
Fram G6566 (I think that's the number) will work for a fuel filter, not exactly bolt in like the OEM, but it does have an external bracket that can be bolted anywhere you wish (I've modified my location to further up in the engine bay, near the strut tower, for much easier access). About $11 at Wal-mart...

You will want to read up on the "fuel pump rewire" mod.
The Walbro can't do much without good voltage & current.
It's a good time to consider battery relocation also..

Not much benefits other than better weight transfer. If you are running a turbo motor with an aftermarket intercooler it will help out, because you won't have to route around the battery, though there is one kit that avoids this.
