fuel rail question (help im wrenching right now)

I'm putting my motor back together right now.
I bought a car that caught fire and got a reman.
It was half tore down when I got it so I dont now how everything goes since I didn't take it apart.

Anyway my question is there a spacer or something in between the primary fuel rail and the housing or does it bolt straight on.

Also if it bolts right up do you crank it all the way flush to the housing because it seems like it's smashing the o-rings when I tighten the bolts down.

Thanks
Ed

Spacer is required. See Mazdatrix.

Fuel rail spacer at the bottom of this page http://www.mazdatrix.com/c-6.htm

Thanks I should of known you would know.
You help me with all my vacuum headaches before right.
Your car burned up to right?

What about the secondary rail, same thing?

You think I could fab a spacer. Maybe use washers if i get the height correct?

secondary rail does not have the phenolic spacer, only primary.

you can probably rig it with washers, though phenolic has nice thermal insulating properties.

Best to get the correct spacer. Hot fuel is not a good thing.

What if I used something other than washers?

I have thick abestos type gasket material that would insulate just like a spacer I think.

Does anyone happen to have a spacer that they have access to measure?

Make sure you use the right torque. Overtightening can lead to cracking or breaking parts, especially aluminum.
