There are many running 800 & 1000 cc injectors on the stock rails.

The 720's fit in the stock rail fine. My 1680's also fit in the stock rail but you need to drill it out a little to get it to sit right. Takes 3 minutes.

you might just want to buy one of keiths entire SS lines, fittings, injectors, and rail packages. This will be a instant bolt on fuel setup that will be fine for 200hp to 1000hp.

Unless he has serious money to burn, the Keith's rails etc. are just a waste.

550/720's... I don't think he's going for 1000hp

a bullet proof fuel system is never a waste no matter if its 200 or 1000hp. Have you ever seen a engine fire? One crack in your stock hose or a PD failure and you can kiss the car good by. Do a search on PD banjo bolt fix and you will see alot of guys that wish they spent the few extra bucks.

And keiths kits only look expensive because you are getting the FPR and all the other stuff in one shot. You are going to end up buying all this stuff anyway trust me.

PD banjo bolt fix = replacing the pulsation dampener with a $15 banjo bolt... not replacing the whole system.

I would like to ammend my posts.

A "bulletproof" fuel system is never a bad thing. I was just stating my opinion in consideration of it being the 2nd gen section and most of us are on a tight budget.

Yeah I agree with deranged, If a good fix is $15 even if I weren't on a tight budget I would have a problem spending 300 vs 15.

Not me. The $15 fix is just a temporary solution. Once you start going for more power than the factory intended, a bulletproof fuel system should be tied for first place on your list right next to a good EMS like Haltech or Wolf. Just my .02 anyway. But I'm paranoid about running lean and especially paranoid about engine fires. I think that my signature sums it perfectly though.

I'm not sure why aftermarket fuel rails have anything to do with the pulsation damper or banjo bolt "fix". You can run an aftermarket pulsation damper on the stock rails, just as you would be running an aftermarket damper on the aftermarket rails. And it's worth mentioning that S4 rails are already set up to accept the appropriate adapters for AN fittings (you just have to tap one hole in the secondary rail).

Depending on what kind of injectors you end up with, you may have to change the injector connectors.
