fuel pump strainer

Hello,

My car had a problem losing power on sharp left corners, and apparently this can be caused by the fuel pump strainer. I am in the process of removing it now, I have taken the fuel pump out already, but I'm not sure exactly how to remove the strainer itself. It seems pretty fragile, so I don't want to just go yanking and and break my fuel pump. Any advice?

Thanks,
Jesse

How hard was it to change the fuel pump. Is it straight forward without hidden suprises? What kind did you install?
