Fuel pump shopping

In the process of finding a replacement fuel pump for the car. Being as how the turbo engine is finally in. Ive looked on advance, and rock auto. All of the part numbers are the same for the Turbo fuel pump and the non turbo pump.

I even looked into the FD pump. Same part numbers as the N/A and Turbo II pumps.

anyone had any experience with one of the rock auto pumps for a Turbo II that can chime in for some clarification?

Rockauto must be wrong cause the t2 pump flows more then a n/a pump. T2 and fd pump may be the same though? Not sure

What are your power goals? That means the most when choosing a pump

the S4 NA and S4 T2 had different pumps, but the S5's all had the same one.

Just looked online. I searched online at Advance Auto for an 87 Turbo II fuel pump, and a 1990 Turbo II fuel pump. first listing was for a carquest pump.

Both part numbers #E8023.

Looked up a Denso fuel pump kit for an 87 Turbo II and a 90 Turbo II... #950-0157 part number for both.

I even went so far as to look it up on Mazdaspeed Motorsports. Searching for a 1990 N/A and Turbo II fuel pump..the only differences in the part number were that one begun with N350 and one with N370..obviously to designate turbo and non turbo..but the following numbers were the exact same.

My issue is I dont want to put in a fuel pump and not have it be able to flow enough, even though it says its for a 90 Turbo II.

the walbro would be sufficient. i use an aem 320. fuel pumps arent expensive, it wouldnt hurt to get a nice one that will last and work well

Moreso looking to stay OEM, but the conflicting information i'm getting is making that difficult.

Get the Denso pump that is the OEM stock part for a mid/late '90s Supra Turbo. It's literally a drop-in replacement for an FC fuel pump with much better performance. I'm using one on my FC, which currently dynos at 377RWHP; Unlike the Walbro pumps, these are OEM quiet and OEM reliable. Here's a link to one on Rock Auto:

More Information for DENSO 9510014

I just compared that part number with one of the Densos for an FD on Rock auto, same part number!

That would explain alot. Thanks for chiming in. Pretty sure I will go this route.

The Supra pump is super common now, I don't think you'll be unhappy with that choice.

The other option is to go Bosch 044, they're super reliable and many people run them in RX-7's just fine.
