Fuel pump resistor relay

Ok so today I went to adjust my TPS since I knew it was off big time. I got it all adjusted so that only one light turns on ( I did the 12v led light thing ) everything was hunkie dori but then after probably 6 mins of the car sitting and idling the damn bouncy idle came back again! Is my TPS dead? I go inside the car to check everything out and I had a CEL light on. I drove the car around the block to see how evrything was. First gear is perfectly fine no problems driving in 1st. When I shift to 2nd I have the pedal pressed about 40% and I'm at bout 2k something rpms it feels like its getting no fuel and feels as if its going to die. I drive back to my house in first which was like 30 feet. I go and pull the CEL code it blinks 5 times normal speed and then 1 time fast. So using Johnr's SPU trouble codes page I see that its 51 the fuel pump resistor relay. Well before when I changed the TPS I had CEL 18 which is the TPS narrow range and the 51 code. I messed with the adjusting screw and then the CEL's went away.

My question is after adjusting the TPS by the 12v led, why did the idle start to become bouncy again? Also why am I getting the fuel pump resistor relay code?

My car is a 91 NA
