Fuel pump not receiving 12v
I recently bought a '89 GTU that was not running. I knew that all the electronics work and all the fuses were there. When buying it i just knew it did crank but not start. I located the problem to be at the fuel pump and when I took it out it was all rusted and covered in residue. So I replaced it and also followed the instructions in the following video to remove and bypass the fuel pump resistor relay:
After bypassing the relay I noticed that I was only receiving 3.53v at the fuel pump connector and no voltage at the actual fuel pump. The wires are continuous throughout as proven by a digital multimeter testing for continuity. I am very new to working on cars and rotaries for that matter so any help would be appreciated. Im really looking forward to getting this thing running and on the road.

Good question... Short answer, I did not. Simply deleted the FPRR and ran a wire from the relay under the dash to the connector on the fuel pump harness

[QUOTE=diabolical1;12498442]welcome to the board.
where (and how) did you ground it?[/QUOTE
I took some readings and all the grounds were good. I did find where the lack of voltage was coming from I just do not know where to go from here. After referencing this page in rotaryheads exceptionally helpful manuals;
I measured the resistance in the relay and affirmed that it is fully operational. The car will not start so I am unable to measure the voltage in the start key position. I was however, able to measure the voltage in the ON key position and found that I was not getting the desired 12v in the "Fc" node. What is the fuel pump switch and where can I trace this wire back to to find the source of the problem. Thank you for any help!
