Fuel pump not kicking on
So I have been rewiring the wires from the front to the back because of my engine swap from a automatic n/a to a turbo 5 speed that is right hand drive now. I didn't get the wiring harness to the rear of the vehicle, they were cut just on the rear side of the connectors. Any ways, there are many differences and most seem easy enough, but after hooking up all the wires that seem necessary for the fuel pump to kick on when I turn the key over, it doesnt. I've checked my grounds, and have gone over schematics again and again. There are some connecters that just don't seem to have anything to plug into under the dash, but don't believe those are what is keeping me from firing this thing up. It turns over good, and Im sure if it just got some fuel it would start right up. Any Ideas, Maybe someone who can build a rear wiring harness for the this swap. or where I could find a used one from japan for that model. Also when i turn the key on there is a clicking sound for a second and then a constant hum in the engine compartment. Anything info can help out Thank You, thoroughly confused.

As for as I know it is all connected. I'm not sure about a jumper though, where is that located. From experience on other vehicles when you turn the key all the way on the fuel pump will kick on for a second and build up pressure for when you start it, and you can usually here it make a whinning noise. But I have tried turning it over though and nothing. There must be something in the wiring that I'm missing. I thought maybe bad grounds so I jumped the ground wire directly to it, but nothing.

okay, i've been told recently that what your thinking it should do is prime the fuel lines.
but not on this car, as far as the car goes it doesnt even have time to prime so it'd be useless.
the jumper wire is a yellow plug under the AFM.. or in your case if the JDM harness is anything like the USDM, it should be under the airfilter box off of the passenger side harness.
i'm kind of havin the same problem...
my problem is that my fuel pump doesnt stay ON... good luck on yours tho
