Fuel Pump Mounting Screws

Oh jeez, my fuel pump mounting screws are toast. I tried to take one out after PB Blastering it for over 2 weeks and letting it soak in. I very carefully started turning and it began to strip one so I quit. I am having some shitty luck. How can I get these ******* out. I have very very bad luck using easy outs, out of the 5 times I've tried using them I've ruined a starter and had to just retap everything else I've done. So any suggestions, I was just thinking about drilling and tapping new ones but I don't know the situation underneath the mounting plate. Can anyone help?

Maybe drill just the heads off......then lift the pump out and then grab the shanks of the leftover screws with a pair of visegrips, after soaking the shanks in some PB Blaster for a few minutes.

Ive used stuff in the past called Foxx rust penetrant. Iv had really good luck with it, and after stripping fuel pump screws on several FCs..have began using this stuff, and havent had the problem since. If you are definately going to strip them either way, I agree with HAILERS , just drill/dremmel the heads off. Pull the assembly out and you should be able to get the stubs out with vise grips.

thanks guys, I do have some fine head philips but the screws are so rusted that they kind of just fell apart, like they weren't even metal, rusted all of the way through.

I've had trouble with this as well. Even though PB Blaster kicks ***, there are some things it just can't save.
