Links to the Factory Service Manual can be found in the FAQ. Checking the appropriate section will show you that there is an access panel to the fuel pump area in the rear of the car, about 6 inches down from the driver shock tower underneath the carpet. Removing that panel will expose the fuel pump flange and from there it's fairly obvious.

In the fsm, free and online for little to nothihg, there is a chapter called something like Body Electrical. Download that chapter and in it, it tells you which wire on the fuel pump connector that you can ground to make the light come on. That tells you everything other than the thermistor in the tank is GOOD. It also tells you how to check the accuracy of the fuel level gauge/sender.

Online, and free.
