fuel pump issues and ?'s

hello all, i'm new here and to rx7's(curently running a 95 talon awd) but i scored a great deal on a 91 rx7 n/t that i did a turbo swap to, i always had a thing for these cars but its hard to find a solid one on my little island well the swap went smoothly but my fuel pump is shot(i planed on replacing it anyways) and the screws that hold it in are shot, now what i'm wondering is can i put an inline pump in and draw through the existing pump and how much fuel presure will i need(just a stock set up...... well maybe a mbc and a fmic because of the n/t hood)

thanks in advance, looking foward to getting this beast purrin

you are creating a big hassle for yourself, you're better off dropping the gas tank and getting a used one from somewhere.

if it will work with the inline pump i thought it would be less of a hassle than replacing the tank and pump. is there other problems that i am going to run into by running an inline? as long as i can get the presure i need than it should work fine right?

i guess you're pretty far away from used rotary parts, but you could get a gas tank and used N/A pump in good working order for probably $50, and everything will bolt up with no bullshit.

unnecessary custom setups = more **** to break. you drive an N/A car, you don't need anything but stock.

ya you are right it is just more s*@t to go wrong, guess its time to drop a tank i'm not n/a anymore i did the jdm turbo2 swap, i have a walbro 190 that i took out and replaced with a 255 in my dsm, i wonder if that will work for my application? i'm thinking a 190 should be lots for a stock set up with maybe a little extra boost from a mbc?

Ive seen people take out the rusted screws with vice grips and then replace them with allen bolts. Not sure exactly what your problem is but maybe that will help.....you are talking about the screws that hold on the gas tank cover right?

well i got the pump out today, i went at the screws with a center punch and a drill(i just hope i can get whats left sticking out with some vice grips) and the pump was seized(just as i thought) and the tank was full of gas....well it sort of smelled like gas and it looked like pepsi lol so it was a good thing i droped the tank(thanks for the input arghx). so what i'm wondering now is would it be ok to run a 255 rewired with a afpr set at 35ish psi with my stock turbo setup(might want to upgrade down the road so i figured why no drop in a 255)

thanks in advance
