Talking Fuel Pump + Igntion Coil Questions

My fuel pump recently went out and I was wondering about getting a Venom replacement, and I wanted to know if anyone has used their products in the past and how well they work. Also, it appears that if I do use a Venom pump that I will have to mount it externally, is this ok to do or is it "the bad thing"? I've heard that pumps use the fuel to help cool themselves, (although the pump on my old 944 was external and worked fine) so will this be an issue on an FC? Also, with the ignition system on the FC looking, well, odd, compared to what I'm used to, can I use a high output coil such a MSDS, Jacobs, etc etc? I'm guessing it will all work the same, I will just have to toss it on a different sort of bracket. Any help will be appreciated, thanks guys.

Try walbro fuel pumps you can find them for about 95bux. They also replace the stock unit perfectly.

Thanks for the info guys. The reason why I'm wondering about the ignition coil and what-not is because my plugs foul up very quickly...in around 3-5k miles. I had a problem like this on my 944 (I know its not a rotary, lol, but bare with me) and I used a jacobs energy coil to make the spark hotter and basically burn up the deposits. It also gave a noticable increase in power in the higher rpm range. (before I installed it the mighty sohc 2.5 would barely pull from 5.5 to the "yellow line".)

If their fuel pumps are anything like their injectors stay far away from them. Go with the walbro.
