Fuel pump cut off switch

Ok a few years back I was gonna buy a rx-7 (FC) and the person that owned it only owns rotory cars (FB's) and he was explaning stuff about the motors i never knew about before, one being that they flood easily, so what he did was hooked up a switch on his dash that turns the fuel pump on and off to prevent flooding. Now I finally got a RX-7 and the damn thing keeps flooding on me. Currently it's killing the battery trying to get it started. I got a switch, and wire's for wireing, I just need a guide on how to hook it up. Any clues? I did a search, i just got more posts of complaints of flooding...
