Where is the fuel pump connector located? All I could find is by the strut tower on the Coupe models. Also, is there an easier way to disable the pump? I need to bleed pressure to replace the fuel filter.

That was it. I don't know why haynes asks you to disconnect it at the back.

Now to remove a fuel filter that has been there for 20yrs...

You disconnect it and then try to turn the motor over for a few seconds. It is just a safety precaution. Better to know the pressure is gone before you start working instead of finding out pressure is still there when gas spews into your eyes.
