Fuel pump

so my fuel pump went out in my stock 88 TII
and i have a 255lph for my streetpot swap when it gets here,

is it okay to run the 255lph with the stock set up for a little while?

it will run a bit richer but yeah it'll be fine. fuel pressure will increase.

I thought that the stock FPR would take care of that for you... Just what I heard, I don't know from experience.

so then what about once his street port is in? will he need a different FPR? I'm interested in this, too, as I'm soon upgrading my FP and eventually I'll port a motor.

well since i am going to be running bigger injectors its gonna need more Psi to them,
so a FPR is required or so I'm told

The street port is irrelevant. If the base fuel pressure is increased (which it certainly will be) then the mixtures will be richer all the time. To compensate you either need to reduce the fuel pressure with an adjustable FRP or retune the mixtures with a fuel controller or programmable ECU.

Larger injectors do not need more pressure. What you need is a pump that can flow more than the injectors are rated at, which you most likely now have.
