Fuel pump?

Hi guys this is my first post on a new to me 88 turbo 2 with 70k on it. It has been in a shed covered and unstarted since like 06. I bought it not running, I think it’s the fuel pump, or relay. When I turn the key I do hear clicking under the hood. I have watched a few vids and it seams to be pretty easy to get to the pump and connection. I assume I can test for power to the pump at that point? What if anything unusual should I know about the FC fuel system? I see vids on guys modding relays and such. Lastly is there anyone in the Fall River southern Ma area that is good with these cars? Thanks for your time.

Like turbonut said, you can jump the connector for testing. You should probably just replace it though, the stock fuel pumps in these cars are well within the "sudden death" age and the fact that the car was sitting a while makes this even more likely. With how easy they are to replace in these cars, and the price for a halfway decent one, you should just replace it. Might want to get some new bolts for the fuel pump access door too, that bolts to the tank, there's about 8-12 of them, and they get pretty rusty. With how small they are, any rust at all is just begging them to snap off in the threads in the tank.
