fuel PSI

What is the stock fuel pressure of the FC? Also, is there a way you can test how much flow your FP gives? some sort of calculation? can i just take a hose from it and see how fast it fills up a gallon x60? I'm not sure if this is a aftermarket fuel pump. if i pulled it would i be able to tell?

Sure, get an in-line fuel pressure gauge and you'll know how much fuel pressure you're getting.

The static fuel pressure (i.e. pump running, engine off) measured between the fuel filter and the fuel rails should be 36-37psi.

Also, is there a way you can test how much flow your FP gives?
The pump's flow vs. pressure curve is far more useful than just the flow measured at static pressure, especially on a turbo'd engine. To do this you'd need to run a hose from the fuel filter to a tee with a pressure gauge and then to an adjustable valve (preferably a multi-turn needle valve) so that you can vary the restriction and hence the pressure. The valve discharges into a measuring cylinder. You then run the pump for say 15 seconds (noting the fuel pressure while it's running), measure the fuel discharged and calculate the flow. Change the pressure using the valve and repeat. Do this about ten times at various pressures and then graph the results.

Still keen?
