Unhappy Fuel problems

Crusing down the road to school today my car was running fine. Then, about 20 miles down the highway i noticed that i lost power, my motor was acting like it wasnt getting fuel. I blipped the throttle and down shifted to see if maybe something was clogged. Then i noticed this rattling noise coming from my hood. After about 2 miles of this the car quit making the noise and the motor ran fine. Any ideas?

My first lame guess - A bit of carbon deposit came loose & fouled a leading plug, then later blew on out the exhaust.

Does this motor get it's daily WOT to the redline?
