Fuel Pressure Regulator???

What do I need to look for in a fuel pressure regulator... I see some that say they are adjustable from like 10 - 100 psi (some exagerting may be displayed) and I see some that are like 4-9 psi... This is for an after market fuel system (under the hood only) with factory injectors and is going on an 89 n/a... I know it has to have two inlet ports and one outlet... I just need to know the psi range mainly...
I thank you all for any help in advance...

Oh yeah... What would happen if I where to eliminate the pulsation damper in this new set up...? I dont plan to, but I am curious as to the pros and cons of keeping or getting rid of it...

I think the regulator acts as a PD itself. Check out Ted's site. FC3Spro.com

There's a huge thread in the archives about removing the PD/putting on a banjo bolt. You might want to read through that.

however, a lot of people caution against removing the pulsation dampener, or at least replacing it with an aftermarket one. It can be very important especially when using a mostly stock fuel system (pump and injectors), in keepin proper fuel delivery.

The whole argument is covered in the archives thread.

The fuel system will be completely replaced under the hood... I only plan to keep the injectors and fuel pump original (and those will be replaced soon enough)... I just see these pics of these fuel systems set up parallel with a PD off of one of the fuel rails connected to a three way fitting... I am no rocket scientist, but I was always taught that air, liquid and electricity always go in the path of least resistance... It seems to me that the flow would bypass the PD and leave it basically useless... $114.00 is an expensive useless... I dont guess I understand the way that this thing is supposed to work and that is why I am trying to figure out if it is really needed or if it is a really expensive christmas tree ornament for under the hood... Man... Even I think I talk too much...

***EDIT***
Okay... I have read some of the old threads about this... Some say you need the PD and some say it is useless... What caught my eye was that they mentioned a fuel pressure regulator with the pd built in... Anyone got a link to one of these???
