Fuel pressure

I looked in the F.A.Q. thread and couldn't find it. Maybe I didn't search hard enough or something... I read my Hayne's service manual on how to relieve the fuel pressure but I started taking a bunch of **** off of my engine and drained the oil, trans. fluid, and coolant. I need to know how to relieve the pressure now that I cannot do it the way my manual says to do it.

Hayne's manual says:
1) Start the engine.
2) Detach the fuel pump connector.
3) Wait for the engine to stall, the turn off the ignition key.
4) Remove the fuel filler cap to relieve the fuel tank pressure.

I can't do any of this though.
