fuel management???
ok so im still in the process of doing my t2 swap on a 86 n/a. I have a garrett gt30r bb turbo custom manifold and 50mm hks wastegate. Im going to be running 750 cc injectors, aeromotive fuel pump, and a sard fuel pressure regulator. Now im starting to wonder about fuel management....i know everyone is going to say....Stand alone. My question is what are all my options to start off with....can i run this set up on the stock ecu system as long as i make sure i dont go past the 8psi stock boost point? Would i be ok with the stock ecu but with an S-AFC? And if the only option is stand alone, i would like to go with the apexi power fc, because i can use the stock harness, but some people have told me you can only use the power fc with an S5 and not an S4, is this true?? what do you guys think??

is the gt30r a little small for a rotary? I've hard of the 35r and good results with that but never heard of a 30r on a rotary. Anyways as far as fuel management goes I usually endorce if you are going full turbo upgrade to go ahead and get a full standalone to go with it. however if you are hell bent on not getting a standalone i would go with one of the rtek chips like the 1.7 or 2.0 if you have an s4. www.pocketlogger.com check out the website and see what you think. Great chip at a great price!

If you got a Zenki harness don't even bother trying to retrofit the Kouki plugs to make it work.
Biggest differences are the electric oil metering and TPS'.
Also, the plugs are not the same - don't expect it to be all plug and play.
Then on top of that, the wires are not in the same positions.
If any of this scares you, you're better off not going with the Power FC as an option.

I mean a GT35R is almost the same price, and it'll hit 400 easily.
There's no reason to be limited by a smaller GT30R unless you want insane spool but can live with the lower power ceiling?

sorry I started my post and then left for a few minutes and came back and wrote that so I didn't see your responce. Anyways I was thinking the same thing about that compressor (just too damn small). One thing i used to be big into was "doing my own thing" then I found out how expensive and time consuming it is to reinvent the wheel

thanks anyways
well im going with the haltech e8 i decided, and well with everyone saying the gt30r is too small, well i want quick spool and quick response, im not planning on taking my car to the drag strip, im not looking for a huge numbers car. garrett shows this turbo being good for 310-475 hp. Again im not looking for a monster drag car, im looking for a car with great response, good for autocross and time attacks. so therefore i beleive i made the right choice. be more informed before you attack a persons choice in what they do. thanks anyways.

This does not apply to rotary engines, and most of the time I knock down those piston numbers by 20% to 25% to adjust for the higher BSFC numbers rotary engines are known for.
Please do your research before posting such falsehoods.

technically its not a falsehood because it is on the website and is true just not for my particular application, But regardless like i said before im not looking for these numbers anyways so it really doesnt matter what it says, because it does not apply to me anyways. I already answered your previous question, yes i do want extremely quick spool and response and dont care as much for the top end, so why do i still feel im being flamed for the choice i made when i know its the correct setup for my particular application.
