Fuel Lines, Supply vs. Return: WHICH IS WHICH?
1988 RX-7, stock.
Trying to start first time after rebuild.
I suspect a fuel problem.
Using Haynes manual test procedures: System and hold pressure is to spec. Pump pressure is low (65 psi vs. 65-85), but hold pressure is only a little under spec (50 psi vs. 57) - Good enough to start/idle? Pressure regulator test returns 0 (zero) reading. huh?! During all tests I can hear the fuel flowing. I think I need to check for injector operation (rebuilt and flow tested by Witchhunter, but they've been sitting (in the baggy) for several months until I installed them recently.
I'm zeroing in on the supply and return lines. Not sure I have them installed to the right line at the engine.
Does anyone know with certainty which is which on the vacuum/fuel rack that sits on top of the engine? I can't remember and I can't find a clear illustration or photo despite hours of searching. I just don't want to have to take the UIM off in order to see it!
