fuel line replacement?

My car went in to put in some stuff that'd been collecting for me on the showroom floor of the shop (Tein pillow ball mounts, sway bars w/ bushings, stainless brake lines and clutch lines etc...) and while my brother was driving it home he mentioned to me that my fuel lines under the car looked like they had started to rot...said they look like our '79 ZXT race car. Anyone replace them yet and if so how much $$ was it. A place right by me makes all braided lines for our turbo cars and did my brakes and clutch and oil cooler lines but it isn't cheap. Any ideas?

Sheez, any local auto parts store has 5/16" ID fuel injection hose.&nbsp Anywhere from $2 to $5 per foot.

it looked like a pain in the butt though, said we might have to drop the gas tank etc... was wondering how long it took people and if anyone had used braided lines

lol wow post resurrection.

of course you could run braided lines from the tank forward but why would you want to replace hardlines? sounds expensive for absolutely no gain.

I eventually had new hard lines custom bent and installed from the tank to the motor. I wasn't comfortable simply replacing the rotting sections with rubber fuel injection hose.
