Fuel Level sending unit S4 vs S5

I have both an S4, and an S5,both NA. My S5 the fuel level sending sensor dosnt work anymore. My S4 (wich is sorta a parts car) has one that does work. Are they a direct swap? I know The gas tanks are different, but, what about the sending unit? Any help would be much apreciated!

s5 has a different fuel pump and the pump and sender are connected as one part, so im not too sure if they are compatible. I've been looking everywhere for a fuel level sender for my s4

Well, i had thought that The fuel level sensor could be disconnected. otherwise people who installed aftermarket fuel pumps wouldnt be able to tell how much gas they had. Dealer wants an arm and a leg for a new one. And i dont really trust something like that from a wrecker, since most of their cars have many problems to begin with.

I tried searching for a long time to see if they are compatibal or not. but alas, i wasnt able to turn any results.

I have put a S4 sending unit in to a S5 car. It will fit, the only thing is the S5 gas tank is deeper so the bottom of the sending/pick-up will be about 2" higher than the S5 unit. The car ran just fine with it.

I have an S5, and I pic-n-pulled an S4 sending unit for replacement. I do not see how the S4 can be used in the S5. Unless I am out of touch, please explain how this is done. I did not see how it could be swapped onto the S5 sender/fuel pump assembly.

Was your gas level reading off on the gauge? i would assume it would be.

Hey guys, I just swapped an s4 sending unit into my s5 car. I powered the pump just fine but I can't figure out how to get the fuel level gauge to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
