Fuel issues/questions

Hey guys, ive been searching and cant really find the exact answer ive been looking for. So the time has finally come, i have all the components i need for a fun FC, and it is ready to be tuned. So i call the tuner up to make an appointment, and we go over a few things. He stated that i need to make sure all of the fuel components are tip top(fuel pump/fuel filter/injectors/regulator), which i understand, but he states that i should get a new fuel pump regulator. Is the stock one really that bad? He already talked me into buying a new fuel pump, even though i have a tubo2 one, But last i check the fuel pressure was fine which i kinda assumed the regulator should be working fine.
My mods are s5 turbo motor in an s4gxl, front mount intercooler, haltech e8, hks ssq, straight pipe to some n1s, emissions/pwrsteering removed/ac.

So do i really need an Aftermarket regulator? I dont want to push over 280HP on the stock turbo, and dont have the extra 400 or so dollars to put into a FPR.

My other question is Im going to get my stock injectors cleaned and tested just to be safe, but i cant find a shop thatll do it in my area. I live in southern california, orange county/huntington beach to be exact, so is there any so calers out there that can lend a hand with some info?

I dont believe you need to shell out a new FPR just for tuning especially since your not using any major modifications that require you to use larger that stock injectors. By checking your fuel system, you do need to make sure everything is in proper working order.

I sent my injectors to RC engineering, i recommend them.

yeah i just drove to RC engineering an hour ago, pretty close and not to pricey.
so practically new injectors, and a new denso pump, on their way. I was thinking about just buying a pressure guage, and watching it farely closely, rather then buying a whole new FPR.

seriously, stock injectors, stock turbo, no port(from what i believe), and just a haltech. I dont see any need for a super high performance regulator.

pressure test for boost leaks before you go

www.boostpro.net/prodtester.html , you can see what one looks like. You could put one together yourself or buy theirs (universal tester).
