The stock injectors are 550cc/min each, which can support ~300hp with the right pump (i.e. not the stock one). You don't need to replace them unless you're planning on exceeding that soon.

right now i have a K&N intake and a crappy after market exhaust, which i will soon replace with a racing beat one. future mods include E-fan, koyo or fluidyne radiator, and a greddy front mount intercooler. with these i think ill probably want slightly larger injectors. what sizes should i get? when i get these mods and bigger fuel injectors should i get a new fuel management system or ECU?

Well a beter fuel pump for one.
Aftermarket FPR would be a good add on(try to get one that replaces the PD)
Fuel Cut Defensor
Some way to tune your fuel delivery(perfect way would be a stand alone engine manegement system but a piggy back could be used but it not really a permanent fix)

Well people around here like walbro 255's for fuel pumps, Mazdatrix has an FCD on their site, FPR I think SX is a good brand but I don't know for sure, and the best ECU I would bet is the WOLF 3D(not sure iif that is the correct name) but you can get AEM, Haltech, Microtech, etc. They are all generally a lot of $$

stand alone ECUs are EXPENSIVE! what are the draw backs of piggyback ECUS?

300HP and good MPG are you kidding? wtf do you think this is a honda? I would say 12MPG at the best out of a 300whp TII I get 19-20MPG out of my ~150whp N/a(guessing duh )
I am 99% sure you will not need an FCD if you have a stand alone. But the stock ECU will cut fuel at 6.5 or 8.5 PSI IIRC S4 and S5 respectively
Getting to 300WHP with smog equipment is going to be hard. I would move to a NON-smog county if I were you.
Yes Stand alones are indeed expensive. You get what you pay for buddy. I had an S-AFC and I read the manual and you can't do much with them. The AFC's are only FUEL controlers. Stand alones do it ALL.

The way to make more power is get more AIR through the engine. Anytime you add air, you need add fuel. Fuel by itself does not add power. In fact, installing large injectors when not needed will cost you power unless you have some way to make them flow less (ie. S-AFC) and tune them to your needs.
