fuel injector swap tech help

I have a '86 s4 U.S. spec, found that one of the primary injectors was cracked, not a big problem, I have a full set of '90 injectors. when I went to swap, i noticed that the connectors were different. I looked through my swap book to see how to wire the clips into the harness. I found a technical service bulletin (bulletin no. 049/88). It states that high ohmic injectors are use since the '88 rx7 all models, because of this change, the EGI control units have been modified and the solenoid resistor has been discontinued. Therefore, the EGI control units should not be interchanged or swapped.
Just wanted to know what mods need to be made to swap the injectors. I'm thinking a resistor between the ecu and injector?

I have the clips, the rails, everything, I have the solenoid resistor before the infjectors.
So, no extra resistor needed?

To use S5 injectors in an S4 low impedance car, swap the injector clips for the oval S5 type, and remove the resistor pack. The pack can be bypassed by jumping ALL of the pins together on the harness-side plug. Solder a bunch of short wires together, and plug the ends into the pins. This is the ground side of the circuit.

I think you mispoke. The resistor pack if the power side of the injector circuit.
