You need to run low impedance. Reason being is that the 87-early 88 models come with low impedance. Meaning the ECU is designed to read low impedance. If you use high impedance....there is a possibility of damaging your ECU. I have also read that low impedance injectors react to pulse quicker than high impedance. High impedance injectors are designed to last longer than low.
If your car is an 87 that was built early, you will need low impedance injectors or you will need to bypass the resistor pack. To identify which type you have, look for a resistor package under the stock air box. It will have an oval plug w/5 wires to it, Black/Yellow stripe, Brown/Yellow stripe, Brown/White stripe, Brown/Red stripe, and Brown. If you have it, use low impedance injectors. If not, use high impedance injectors. If you want to use high impedance injectors on a low impedance injector car, remove the resistor pack and jumper all the wires that went to it together.

2nd gens use low impedance injectors i am pretty sure.
whatever you get, DON'T buy 1900cc injectors, like the Bosch IndyCar ones i got stuck with.
Buy 900cc or 1000cc injectors, i think Rochestor make a good quality 1000cc injector that atomizes the fuel properly, and doesn't just vomit it into the engine (like the 1900cc Bosch)
Can't see why you'd ever need much bigger than a stock 12AT injector, which is what i'll be swapping my Indy's for if i can.
13BT primaries, 12AT secondaries. Smooth driveable power whilst retaining a sense of normality on the fuel economy front.
