Fuel Injector Question

I was just wondering if anyone knows how many C.C.'s of Fuel per minute stock '89 TII fuel injectors are supposed to shoot out. Because i think i just found out why my motor blew.

I got mine cleaned and what not from Marren Fuel Injection and they gave me a before reading of a minimum of 158.2 and a max of 167.3.

Those numbers are meaningless unless you also know the fuel pressure, injector duty cycle and test duration. Some units would help too.

The stock injectors are rated at 133-142cc per 15sec at 250kPa when held open (i.e 100% duty cycle). Multiply by four to get 532-568cc/min, which averages at 550cc/min.

If your numbers are cc per 15sec, then it loks like they were tested at a higher pressure.

Thanks man! That's the answer i was waiting for!

Like i said in my post it was per minute. They actually gave me a reading in PSI. It was 43 PSI, had a pulse of 6.0 MS, and says something about a gravity weight of .75.

I really have no clue what these numbers mean, so if anyone else could help me out here cuz i really don't want my engine blowing up again...

From the numbers you gave, it doesn't sound like the injectors were at fault. How's the rest of the fuel system, pump in particular...? And, what were you doing when she blew?

You're still missing one number. You need the frequncy they were pulsed at as well as the pulse duration to get duty cycle. Nearly there!
