I took my fuel injectors out to have them cleaned last fall. I marked everything with little pieces of tape. Unfortunately, some of the little pieces of tape didn't survive the brutal winter we had. I want to be sure I'm hooking the injectors up correctly. How do I know which connector goes with which injector.

I feel like I'm really in over my head.

on the non turbo cars it's kind of difficult to mix them up unless you moved the harness to a non OEM layout(routed through the back of the engine). it should come through up at the thermostat neck, in which case you'd never be able to plug everything in if you got the primaries and secondaries crossed.

 

For an S5:

Front primary is Light Green
Rear primary is Light Green/Black
Front secondary is Light Green White
Rear secondary is Light Green/Red

 

Each injector has a black/yellow wire, and a light green/other color stripe wire. The primaries have a black stripe and no stripe on their light green wires. The secondaries have a white stripe and red stripe.
