Fuel Injector Cleaner?
Is it safe/ necessary to use fuel injector cleaner (STP) on my FC N/A? Just wondering because I used to use it in my caddy all the time and it helped... Thanks

Mazda in a service bulletin recommends only Techtrom. (sp??). Be sure to remove and replace your fuel filter after using fuel injector cleaner if you are not using it on a regular basis. Why??? Because your loosening up the varnish/crud in your fuel tank also, not only the injectors. And where does the varnish/crud go? Right. Do the strainer on the end of the fuel pump itself while your at it. MIght look clean, but is probably varnished up after a decade or so. Results in fuel starvation under hard cornering and lower fuel levels.

You could get the injectors professionally cleaned and flow test at either of these two places:
The cheaper of the two

ckyguy, yes it is attached to the fuel pump. Cleaning with carb cleaner will help but not resolve the long term issue. Our cars are old. Drain a nearly empy tank, use a flexible scrubber and carb cleaner if you so choose to remove 12 plus years of varnish and particulate residue, change the sock, fuel filter, and have the injectors cleaned and balanced. Result = greater fuel flow, more power and elimination of most flooding problems.
