I have heard mixed thigns about this, what do you guys think about it? Anyone used it? Did it work or did it **** **** up? What brand do you guys recomend usign if I am going to use it? I don't expect this to be a fix for my car, more just to see if the injector's actually could use a cleaning..

Oops - didn't look at your location.
I haven't heard anything yet to recommend one cleaner over another. Maybe now would be a good time for me to do some snooping. Stay tuned...

Keep Right Except to Pass
I ran some Red Line fuel system cleaner through mine the other day and noticed nothing really either way, good or bad. I don't think it hurts anything, but I'm not sure it really helps that much either.
I've actually developed a hot-start prob. that I never had before. I did upgrade my pump but it was fine for quite a while. That's a whole nother issue, but I'm not so sure the hot-start problem can be blamed entirely on the injectors. Maybe I'm running just enough richer to have built up enough carbon to be causing problems, who knows.

The host start problem could be a problem with a transistor in the ECU, not sending the correct voltage to the BAC or something along those lines.. their is a huge thread on "the other forums" about it.

(Can't find a pic of the bottle by itself.)
The MSDS on this stuff sounds like it has kerosene... ?

It's starting to look like all fuel injector cleaners have kerosene. And then there's this snippet from a farm tractor forum:
What can I tell you? I don't know what to recommend...

A hint for you, in 10 gals of gas you can put 1 qt of #1 kerosene and this will boost the octane of the gas, if you will get a small bottle of STP gas treatment or octane booster, or fuel injector cleaner or anything that says, its a petroleum distillant, you will find that all it is, is #1 kerosene, and yes it will boost the octane and wont bother the polution controls on a computerized auto.

A lot of people talk about the Techron aditive from Chevron. They actually sell it in a bottle as injector cleaner. I've used it a couple times in various cars and noticed no real changes.

Injector cleaner is not meant to fix a problem really though. It is meant to be used before a problem occurs to help prevent it, but once they are dirty to the point of where it is making them run really lean or leak even then you need to physically remove them and have them cleaned. I sometimes just put a bottle of cleaner through just to help prevent stuff from building up, but don't think it will clean them completely and make your car run awesome or anything.
