fuel injection confusion

fuel injection confusion

ok i have an 88 s4 t2 pulled my injectors to get cleaned found out 2 are bad, looking for replacements. anyway i looked at the faq's its calls for purple injectors with square connectors offset notch. i have square offset notch connectors but my injectors are not purple there red/orange any one else see a problem here?

the colour changes over time due to age, heat changes end possible fuel leaks.

measure the impedance to be sure

..and just to add for the Newb's is this from the FAQ.

What size injectors does my RX-7 use? What colour are they?

there not purple like they should be seems like i have NA injectors

Did you read the 2nd post? The colour changes with time, and they end up looking red!

Clean them off and there is part number embedded into the plastic.It is on the side.

a part number? pfft, go off the color.. which is always going to match what they looked like 25 years ago.


oops, i let my sarcasm slip out again. get back in there!

most of the time when i pull them out they are black.
