My fuel gauge has been showing less & less fuel over the last few years & My low fuel light is coming on at lower & lower tank levels. Is my fuel tank float indicator sinking/filling with fuel? NE1 have this symptom? I used to put in 13 gallons when fuel light came on & the tank would read 3/4 full. Now its taking 14.8 gallons & showing barely over half a tank on the gauge. '88SE.

Fortunately my mileage is predictable & I always reset the trip odometer to zero at fill up. BTW I get 250 city & 300-350 Hwy (300 under 100mph, 350 under 90mph).

I had kinda the same thing, its just he fuel sender. Find a good used one, I got a t2 fuel pump with sender for $15 off the parts board.
