What are the symptoms of a bad fuel filter??

hesitation, low power. Its 30 bucks, and super easy to change compared to 3rd gens.

What kind of hesitation?
On my 90 GXL, I get hesitation from around 2.5k - 3k RPM, then 6.7k - 7.2k RPM. And it stops accelerating.

Could this be the culpit?
