fuel filter

alright my manifolds are currently off
and i have removed emissions
and since everythings out and i need to change the fuel line anyway
i was just gonna replace the fuel filter with a new one while im at it
but i read that you need to run the car to depressurize the fuel system,
but obviously thats not possible with the car apart
so does that mean that if i remove the fuel filter its gonna start sprayin fuel everywhere?

the answer is probably gonna be something like i dont need to depressurize the system because its already taken apart or something.
but i just wanna make sure

it would have been best to have run the car but i know if you pull the fuel cap and the car has been sitting long it should be depressurized... just wear eye protection just in case

It should be good to go. But get a couple bolts to stick in the fuel lines around the fuel filter to stop it from leaking out. It should be depressurized, but it will still be full of fuel that has a nasty habit of being affected by gravity.
