fuel cut switch, recommended switches

alright im putting a fuel cut switch in my car, and im pretty sure i got the wires right and ****, i just need to know if i need a certain switch or not. i bought one toggle switch that is just basic on/off. it is rated at 15 amps, and just has 2 connections for wires on it. The other one i bought is a rocker switch that lights up. its rated at 20 amps and has a battery, ACC, and ground connection. I dont know what or where to connect anything on that one, or what i would run a ground to seeing as how i suck with electricity. So, any advice or instructions on this would really kick ***. thanks guys

The 3-pole oneis fine, and so is the 2 pole one. Which wire are you going to cut to control the pump? The poles on the 3 pole switch marked "Battery" and "Accessory" are the switched poles you run the 2 wires for your fuel pump to, and the 3rd one marked "ground" is just that. Hooked up to ground.

Umm.. not sure. I am sorta retarded concerning electronics myself.

I just took a cheepo' metal switch, drilled a hole down by the bottom of the stearing column in the colored plastic. Stuck the switch in there (2 pronged).

I just connected two long wires to the switch before I installed it, then cut that middle wire on the relay and connected the switch in between the two.

I use it every night as an extra theft precaution. However, any car thief with an IQ over 2 would look there first for a cutoff switch.

That's perfect, and is all you need. The fuel pump only draws 6-8A and an illuminated switch is unnecessary.
I used a metal 20A toggle switch simply because I had one lying around. I bought a black rubber waterproof cover for it which made it look a lot less conspicuous.

Light up ones are kind of annoying anyways. Just get a generic 2 prong one.

well i put the 3 pole light up one in there and tried to hide it. The thing works like a charm, i drove all around town today running errands, and hot starting wasnt a problem at all using the switch. Now for some warm weather to come so i can rip oout my injectors and clean and replace everything. Any estimates on how much it will cost to put all new vac lines, gaskets, and clean out the injectors?

Which gaskets? Cleaning injectors would probably be 10-20$ per injector. Depends where you go. And vac line depends on whether you use silicon or rubber. Honestly, the rubber work just fine. They just dont last 10 years

When It comes to the FI's, be sure to replace the Upper and Lower Grommets and the O-Rings.
