fuel cut switch??
There is a thread in the 2nd gen archives called "bits of FC wisdom" which has info on how to install the fuel cut switch. I followed the instructions in that thread to install mine and have had no problems, and MUCH easier unflooding on the rare occasions that the engine doesn't catch on the first crank.
As far as cutting the fuel to kill the engine, I doubt that would hurt anything on and N/A engine; it is standard practice with airplanes to shut off the engines by cutting the fuel before the spark. It might help if your car has leaky fuel injectors, but I see no other benefit to it. I wouldn't shut off the engine this way if the car is turbocharged.

I did that on my car before I got a rebuild. It pretty much took care of the flooding problems and made it much easier to unflood if it did. I don't know of any adverse effects on an NA car, but Im not for sure.
