This is exactly the look I'm trying to give to the car.
I've been working all winter to clean some stuff that was not at my liking.

Love the car! very clean swap, but one thing, its not an 89, unless the front bumper was swapped it has a s4 front bumper and 89 was s5.

You are right. I bought the car from a member here and he has a 1988 so I think he swapped my bumper for his.
I didn't notice until some people told me I had a S4 bumper on my S5. I didn't know they were different.
If one day I put my hand on a S5 bumper I'll swap it back.

Good observation.

The S5 bumper was being held on by a bolt on each wheel well and the bolts along the header panel, so while I did put the bumper from my 1988 on there I did not to swap and be deceptive, but rather out of safety. Had I not borrowed it at one time to put on my convertible because it was already notched out for the intercooler I would not have known this.

I ended getting another S5 bumper but it turned out to be wavy as ****, I left it out in the sun upside down and tried to shape it but it would not go back into shape.

The bumper on my 1988 was off a red S5 I had painted 6 years ago that got a FC2000 front bumper.

I didn't know what was the story about the front bumper , neither I knew the S4 and S5 thing.

This week end I'm getting the front left fender fixed up.I don't know how it will turn out but we'll see.

I wish I had the funds for a paint job like you did on yours..
Your Black 88 is ...

Got the lens on Friday the 9th , fixed the broken stud , sanded them down and spray painted them.
I'm trying that for now and if I don't like the look , I'll buy new one like I was going to do.
