Front transmission seal leaking???
Today I got to work and realized that some sort of fluid was coming out of my car! I looked underneath the car and the fluid was coming from right where the under-body panel thing ends behind the wheelwell. I've talked to 2 people about it, one a mechanic at a jiffy lube place(only nearby mechanic) he said it was the front transmission seal, and the fluid was Gear Oil.. the other guy I work with who is a mechanic at his other job said it was a cooling system leak. Which may be coming from the water pump. The fluid was a yellow-brownish translucent color, not too thick... I looked at the coolant and it was a bit low, so I added some water to tide me over until I got home. What could it be? I really wont have time to mess with it until Friday. Anyone got any full-under body shots so I could circle where the approx area was? I really hope that my baby doesnt have something really bad wrong with it. If it was the tranny seal how hard would it be to fix? How hard is it to drop the tranny? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Jack the car (keep the tranny in a level position if possible), pull the tranny fill plug, put your pinky finger in there, and see if the lubricant level is where it should be. If it is, good...
It may be the rear engine seal too...Usually there is a distinct differencein smell between the engine oil & tranny fluid (or coolant, for that matter)...
