Question front seat removal?

stupid question:

How do you remove the front seats? I mean, I see the bolt on the top, but how do you get to the nut on the underside. I don't see an opening. Did I miss something.

You mean take them out of the car? There is four bolts on each one. A couple of them are covered by the little flaps of carpet. You may need an extension to get to the inside back one on the passenger seat.

Yep. Remove them to clean the inside of car. I don't see where on the underside you can get to the nut. the bolt just spin, so I'm guessing there's a nut on the other side. Can't see the nut.

Flobb is correct, there are four bolts holding the seats to the floor.

I just pulled mine a few days ago and I don't remember there being any nuts on the bolts. They should just turn out on their own. The bolts are a few inches long, so it may take a while for all of the threads to come out.

There are weld nuts on the underside and will just screw out unless the threads are stripped.

My bolts are only an inch long... never needed an extention either.

14mm socket should do ya just fine. Only problem I ran into is my old carpet... had to use some pressure to get that damn socket on real good.

DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS SUMTHING HAS DIED UNDERTHERE.
I TRIED TO DO THIS TO PUT SUM CORBEAUS IN MY CAR AND END UP RIPPING A WHOLE THROUGH THE FLOOR PAN BECAUSE THE BOLT ON THE INSIDE BROKE OF INSIDE THE FLOORPAN.
BE VERY CAREFUL AND DON'T FORCE ANYTHING IF YOU JUST HAVE TO DO THIS.

if it sjust spinning, jack it up, get someone under the car to hold the damn nut w/ a wrench....seems plausible doesn't it? if not, dremel it out or something, or just leave the seat in.
