front and rear hubs same?
i have some longer wheel studs i want to use and some extra hubs to press them into. i want to use the hubs in the rear but don't remember if they were off the front or rear. it's for an 88 tii if it makes a difference.

i only need to put the studs in the back i'm not touching the front. i have 2 extra hubs that i want to use in the back but if front and rear are different they may not work. so i just want to know if they're the same in case the hubs i have came off the front.

the hubs themselves? Completely different. Fronts are a spidle (no axle), rears are halfaxles... Spindles have no way of transfering power, so if you were to somehow fab them in the back, your powertrain would completely lose its ground contact. Your car would't go anywhere unless you pushed it or rolled it down a hill.
