front license plate holder

Does anyone know where to get a front license plate holder for a 2nd gen? I have a 1986 that won't pass inspection without it, and the generic ones in the autoparts stores don't fit correctly into the screw pattern on the front bumper. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I recently made the move from restoring my 83GS to purchasing this 1986 SE. So far, I'm really happy with it, except for the fact that NJ sucks.

The stock one substantially blocks airflow into the radiator.
Make your own, and mount it off to one side.
It could be as simple as buying some aluminum flat stock from Home Depot, and bending it to support the tag, while mounting to the underbelly bolts for the air shield.
