front fender attachment + rust

I am in the process of swapping out front fenders, bumper and moulding from my s5 parts car onto my 88 gtu. Both bolts on my driver-side fender, on the bottom near the rocker panel, broke off from rust. In hindsight, I know I probably should have soaked all the bolts with WD-40 before taking anything off. Is there any way to remove the inserts the bolts screw into and replace them so I can attach my fender all the way? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just didn't want to risk breaking anything else ( I kind of Hulk-Smash things more oft than not ).

Thanks,

Mike

umm, they bolt to the steel on the car.

Yes, you can drill them out.

Or do what I did, cos I was lazy: drill a 1/8" hole int he fender and rivet it to the car..lol
